Pumpkin Cheesecake Snickerdoodles

Thanksgiving is just a little over two weeks away meaning a few very important things: Sirius's Holly station is now playing Christmas music on the daily; the Hallmark channel is running all the best cheesy holiday movies; and I am officially days away from cooking my very first Thanksgiving meal. Which, admittedly, is giving me just the tiniest bit of hostess anxiety. This will be the first year without my mama here to cook all our best loved recipes, leaving me some pretty big shoes {and bellies} to fill.

Luckily, the last few weeks of our visit were spent logging major hours in the kitchen {here}. She walked me through the basics of our favorite Turkey Day sides, and left me with some pretty detailed instructions for the bird. And as for desserts: she refreshed my memory on our tried and true favorites and together we tried a few new recipes for the very first time.

These Pumpkin Cheesecake Snickerdoodles {recipe here} are a new favorite of ours. They're easy to make and not too heavy on the palette, giving you just the right amount of sweet pumpkin-y goodness for the big day.
