Easy Apple Crisp

Apple Crisp Lilies and Lambs

When your husband says its the best dessert you've ever made, you take it for what its worth. When he eats the entire crisp in one sitting and demands you make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas, you start to believe he really likes it. Like,  a lot. I'm not a huge baker, but I love when I find easy, simple recipes that are instant crowd pleasers. And with MM around, I typically aim for recipes that call for ingredients I have on hand.

So with piles and piles of apples lying around after our recent excursion to the farm, I decided to throw together the easiest apple-filled dessert I could find. This Apple Crisp With Oats required only a few standard ingredients and a few fresh Macoun apples straight from orchard. And after just a short thirty-five minutes in the oven, it was ready to be devoured. Add a little ice cream, and a caramel drizzle and you've got a simple dessert that's sweet enough for the holidays.
