Happy Friday!

There are a few weeks left of summer vacation, and I hope ya’ll are enjoying fun in the sunshine and the last trips of the season.

This 37 week bump and I have been pretty much hibernating inside with the air conditioning, and I’ve delved deep into streaming some great shows the last few weeks. I’ve revisited a few of my tried and true favorites, and found some binge-worthy new ones- documentaries, true-crime dramas, reality reboots, and comedies both dark and light.

Here are 10 shows to watch before the end of summer:

  1. I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. michelle carter

This two-part documentary follows the trial of Michelle Carter, a 17-year-old girl that appears to have encouraged her boyfriend to commit suicide.

  2. The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley

If you missed the book, Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup, or if you’re as obsessed with the story as I am, you’ll love this documentary investigating the rise and fall of Theranos, the one-time multibillion-dollar healthcare company founded by Elizabeth Holmes.

  3. Big Little Lies

Based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name, Big Little Lies tells the story of five women in Monteray, California who become embroiled in a murder investigation.

  4. Friends from College

Friends From College follows a tight-knit group of friends from Harvard who, twenty years later, are now faced with former romantic entanglements, old friendships, and balancing adult life with nostalgia for the past.

  5. Schitt’s Creek

If you’re looking for a laugh, this would be my top pick. Schitt’s Creek shares the fall of the suddenly broke, formerly filthy-rice Rose family, who is now reduced to living in a ramshackle motel in a town they once bought as a joke.

  6. The Act

Based on a true story, The Act follows the story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a girl trying to escape the abusive relationship she has with her overprotective mother, Dee Dee- who is thought to have had Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

  7. Dead to me

A hilarious, dark comedy, Dead to Me tells the story of a widow searching for the hit-and-run driver who recently killed her husband, and a new friend she makes at a therapy group for bereft spouses.

  8. GRace and Frankie

Grace and Frankie follows the unlikely friendship of Grace and Frankie, whose lives are turned upside down when their husbands announce that they are in love with each other and are leaving their wives.

  9. Queer Eye

Love this emotional reboot that shares an all-new Fab-Five serving up makeovers, tips and reveals.

  10. killing eve

Killing Eve tells the story of two women- an M16 operative and psychopathic assassin she has been tasked to find.
