Hi, Friends! It’s been a while. MM finished her first official year of school, and the end of the year got a bit crazier than I had anticipated.Read More
Another week, another crazy case of Connecticut weather.
This winter just won’t quit; and this mama is just about over it. That being said, snowfalls and cold aside, the sun has been shining; and there’s nothing quite like the sun peeking through over a morning cup of coffee.Read More
This week MM battled her first real stomach bug.
In terms of bugs, it wasn't all that bad. But it still hurt my heart to watch her struggle and feel so uncomfortable in her body. If only for 24 hours.
And it got me thinking about taking care of ourselves as mamas...Read More
This past week I took a quick break from my typical mama duties and headed into Manhattan for a much needed girls night out. I grabbed my sisters and friends and headed to a beautiful holiday event hosted by Babbleboxx.Read More
If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that there's really nothing that beats some good 'ole fashion family time. And lucky for us, so much of our crew lives so close by. So yesterday my sister-in-law and I loaded up all the cousins on their day off from school and headed to our favorite little farm to pick apples and see some pumpkins.
This past weekend we celebrated my littlest sister and her engagement to her long time love. If you follow along on Instagram, then you already know we were on a boat. And it was lots and lots of fun.
Its been a while since there's been a wedding to celebrate in the family- and while they've been engaged a few months now, there was something about everyone coming together to celebrate that made it so real. And it brought out all the feels.Read More
Wow, this past month flew by.
Feels like summer started just yesterday; but here we are, welcoming August already. July always starts with a bang for us- yes, because of the fourth; and all the BBQs and fireworks it brings. But also because the third is my husband's birthday. And he's never met a birthday bash he didn't like.Read More
Eat, sleep, beach, repeat.
That seems to be what our summers are made of around here- weather permitting, that is. And while most of this past week was spent indoors due to a few rain clouds, we are hoping to spend this last July weekend outside, enjoying our favorite local beach.Read More
This Connecticut summer has been a tricky one- weeks of sweltering heat and then, suddenly, it feels like fall. And while some members of my family wish that summer lasted all year long, this mama loves that sweet sweater weather more than cake. Which I love. A lot.
Petals and giggles and lazy al fresco afternoons do a sweet, sweet summer make.
And this past weekend was filled with all of the above. After a week of scorching heat that kept us cooped up for days, we celebrated the weekend's cooler temperatures by spending much of our days outside. July can be hot and humid here in Connecticut, so on days when the breeze graces us with its presence, we soak in all the summertime air that we can.Read More
If you follow along on Instagram, then you know we've got a new addition over here- a beautiful black lab pup we call Georgia. We picked her up on my husband's birthday- July 3rd- just in time for fireworks and America's birthday. Unfortunately, her arrival also coincided with a summer cold for our girl. So, needless to say, our hands have been a bit full.Read More
After my MM was born, my sister gifted me a beautiful iPhone case covered in photos of my little babe. It was one of my most prized possessions, and a great way to quickly show friends and acquaintances some of my favorite pics of my girl.
This past weekend I was able to sneak away for a few hours for some much needed mommy-time. My husband happily took our little to watch our local high school's lacrosse team play, while I took care of a few overdue errands: a manicure, pedicure and spin class followed by a trip to our newly-opened Macy's Backstage.Read More
It's been an exhausting week with this girl of ours. I thought days filled with outdoor activities would tire her out a bit... but not so much. Does anyone else have a toddler that goes nonstop all day long? I guess in the long run, its a good thing. And in the meantime, there's always a much-deserved glass of rosé al fresco as the sun goes down. But I digress.Read More
