This past weekend I was able to sneak away for a few hours for some much needed mommy-time. My husband happily took our little to watch our local high school's lacrosse team play, while I took care of a few overdue errands: a manicure, pedicure and spin class followed by a trip to our newly-opened Macy's Backstage. I had heard great things about this outlet store, but had yet to visit. And with both hands free, I enjoyed at least an hour perusing all the different departments and deals.

Sure, you have to dig a little at times to find the gems, but I was super impressed by the selection. So many brightly colored summer-essentials: a roundie and shorts for MM and a brightly hued dress, sun hat, and be-jeweled sandals for mom. And if you follow along on Instagram, you'll note the adorable ceramic pineapple and gold-rope encrusted frame I picked up for under $10 each.

We took advantage of the beautiful sunshine on Sunday and tried out our new wares, spending the morning at our local beach with our pops of springtime color in tow.
