As summer approaches, there’s a good chance you’ll meet someone like our girl- in the pool, by the ocean, at the playground...
And if he or she is having an exceptionally good day, there’s a good chance you’ll hear some happy sounds. Humming, grunting, moaning, repetitive songs or scripts that are known as stims- but really just mean “I’m having so much fun and excitement that my cup has literally runneth over with joy.”
If this is your first time seeing something like this, there’s a good possibility it might make you feel uncomfortable.
