20 Maxi Dresses Lilies and Lambs

This week was pretty much all about survival mode for me. I went on a premature running spree over the holidays- after a TWO year hiatus- and now find myself limping around with a tweaked knee. Just in time for my mama to head back home to California and leave me with not too much extra help.
So I’ve been laying low, icing and elevating; and overall just trying to get back to normal so I can play with my girls the way they deserve. There’s nothing like a little injury to make you stop taking your health for granted. Thank you for all your Instagram recs for knee-friendly sneaks- I bought myself the ugliest pair of Brooks this week, and I’m thinking they’ll do the trick.

Hope everyone has a happy weekend- snow and/or shine!

Here are a few things I’ve been loving this week:

one.

The $60 Transitional Maxi / In this postpartum life of mine I’ve taken quite the liking to this cheapie staple. I really don’t want to invest in clothing to fit this ever-changing bod, and I’ve found quite a few gems- be it dresses or sweaters or high-waisted pants, that have been great additions to my postpartum wardrobe. This dreamy green maxi is one of them- I wore it to my sister’s 30th birthday party last weekend in the city, when it was a balmy 60-plus degrees in January- and I loved it. It also comes in black, here, and I LOVE.

Two.

The Meal Delivery Service / I can’t even tell you how much I love the delivery service that is Kinney Lane. I first encountered Rachel a little over a year ago, when I hosted my first ever wellness event at SLT in Greenwich. She made the most delicious little healthy nibbles, and I never looked back. Now that I’m a mom of two, her pre-made meals have been my go-to. And I’ve encountered more than a few postpartum moms in town that swear they lost their baby weight from her meal plans. And bonus: my very picky wing-loving husband LOVES all her meals, too. Click here and use code LILIESANDLAMBS for 15% off your entire order.

Three.

The Fertility Support / One of the reasons why I started Lilies and Lambs was because I felt such a lack of support during my fertility journey. I’m so grateful that now, so many years later, the pendulum has swung; and there are now so many resources for us ladies TTC. And CT-based The Fruitful Program is one of those resources I desperately wish had been around when we embarked on our path to start our family. This six-week program, developed by wellness gurus Sarah Swanberg and Carolyn Brown, is designed to optimize your health, balance your hormones, and support your fertility. Throughout the course, they teach you all you need to know about your cycle and hormones, getting off birth control, managing stress, troubleshooting hormonal issues, what products to avoid when TTC, when to seek reproductive assistance, and a host of other information you need to know when you’re “thinking about thinking about ‘trying.’” Check out their program here, and use code LILIESANDLAMBS for $100 off!

Four.

The Cake Lady / I first met Andrena from Crazy Confections some four years ago via my beloved Lugano. We had one of my mom’s birthday dinners there, and Rose from our “cafeteria” provided the most amazing cake- filled with so much candy. And we’ve used Crazy Confections for pretty much every celebration since. Andrena made the baptism cake of my dreams this past weekend- so beautiful, and so delicious. Five.

The Netflix Docu-Series / Ok, so I have major mixed feelings about this one; but I thought it deserved a spot on the roundup, nonetheless. I had been hearing so much about the Netflix docs-series “Don’t F With Cats” for some time now, and I finally started it this past week. If I’m being honest, the first part was hard to swallow. It was disturbing and gave me some major “uh-oh” feelings. That said, the amateur detective element of this true-crime story was beyond anything I’ve seen. And if you can get through the first episode, you’re in for a real treat.
