Friday! We made it. It’s been a busy one over here at the Matkovic house, with so many fun things coming up that I can’t wait to share. Aside from work, we are finishing up the room refresh of my office with Taylor from Home Taylored- just waiting on a few items to arrive and for the walls to be painted. I can’t wait to show you the color and finish we chose.

I did manage to sneak away to do a little shopping and to explore a few new spots around Charleston to share with you here… Hope you enjoy, and happy weekend!

Here are some of my favorites from the week:

one.

The Pop of Color / This week I popped into one of my favorite local boutiques and picked up a few colorful beauties to add to the mix. As you well know, I am a sucker for a good maxi/midi dress, and this trip did not disappoint. In addition to the one pictured above {available at Monkees Mount Pleasant}, I grabbed this parrot party midi and this green gardenia beauty.

Two.

The Swim Suit / Despite the very annoying bombardment of social media ads, Summersalt happens to make one hell of a one piece. I bought my first one last year, and decided to add a few new ones to the mix for spring/summer 2021. I recently purchased this floral wrap version and this ruffle sleeve dot version and I really do love the prints and the fit- they keep everything sucked in, in the most flattering way. Highly recommend.

Three.

The Pink Cocktail / A few weeks ago I discovered the delicious pink drink that is Deep Eddy Ruby Red and seltzer. A friend of mine introduced it to us at our country club and I’ve been hooked ever since. Light and refreshing and the perfect amount of sweet- I have a feeling this is my new go-to poolside drink.

four.

The Coffee Shop / If you’re local to Charleston, you’ll want to venture to Daniel Island to visit The Dime- a sweet new coffee shop down by the water. It has great indoor seating {i.e booths}, as well as a beautiful outdoor patio, complete with a fireplace. And if you go in the afternoon you can treat yourself to some yummy frozé.

five.

The Vegetable Garden / This week Phil made a trip to Home Depot to pickup a few things for around the house, and returned with several pots and an array of seeds for him and Maddie to plant a vegetable garden. First up: cucumbers, rainbow carrots, snap peas, and tomatoes. A green thumb, I have not. So I’m hoping he and Maddie Mae have better luck with this venture. Stay tuned!
