A Holiday Tablescape

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas- meaning entertaining and holiday parties are in full swing. For the last few years we’ve celebrated the season with dinner and drinks on the town with some of our best friends- a tradition we’ve affectionately named “Friendsmas.” But with a new babe in the mix, our nights out as a couple have been few and far between; so this year, instead I thought it might be nice to to celebrate at home with a cozy dinner party.

Because my kitchen isn’t always the most efficient when it comes to cooking for the holidays, I decided to try out a new-to-me local caterer, A Dash of Salt. Chef Jonathan created the most beautiful, and delicious, meal- a perfectly crusted rack of lamb served with a side of roasted acorn squash with an eggplant tapenade, haricot verts and roasted turnips. We served it all with champagne and our current favorite cabernet from Staglin Family Vineyard.

For the tablescape, I paired my new Lastra Holiday dinnerware from VIETRI with these jute placemats {under $10 each}. The florals were created by my favorite local florist, Winston Flowers; I love how they looked accented by the pinecone place cards designed by Nob Hill Jane. And for napkins, I added a pop of plaid and a festive monogram stitched by my friend Brooke from Monogram Mary.
