Our Entryway

Hello, and welcome to our entryway!

If you’ve watched my IG stories over the last six months, you’ve likely caught a glimpse of this space.

It’s been a work in progress, but after adding this piece of furniture and a few decorative elements, it’s now one of my favorite corners of our new home.

One of my favorite parts of this entrance is the way we’ve blended vintage pieces and heirlooms from my mom {thanks, mom!} with some new, more modern pieces we’ve found since our move.

The balloon artwork and runner are both from my childhood home; they’re so beautiful in a traditional way, and I just love seeing them brought to life again down here in Charleston.

Originally I had a table from our Connecticut home in this space, but it proved to be a little too narrow and not substantial enough for the entry way.

I love how this black and rattan beauty brings a fresh feel to the more traditional items; and I’ve added a few natural pieces like this dough bowl, woven lamp and wooden beads to lighten up the space.

PS: The entry way is long but narrow, so I took this picture from our hall closet. Don’t tell me blogging isn’t hard work…
